One of the most important yet often over looked aspects of the police K9 program is the decoy. The decoy is a integral part of a strong and effective training program for K9 units. This course focuses on three key aspects of decoying. The first being the safety of the decoy and dog. The second being the how, when, and why of decoying equipment and techniques. And the third, understanding and interpreting dog drive.

This class will employ the use of the bite suit, external sleeves, hidden sleeves, and other apprehension equipment. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring any of the mention equipment with them however equipment will be provided for training use as well.
